Owl cafe

To visit this owl cafe which located in Tsukishima, Tokyo is one of my most expecting things on the list.

Every unexpected thing happened when you are fully expecting it should be perfect.
The cafe was fully booked for the whole day when we arrived, since it doesn't accept the reservation in advance, we didn't know it would be this popular until the shop keeper told us there was a lady queuing for getting in at 11am while the shop opens at 2pm!

YES!
Japanese LOVE this animal! And it's not only beginning from the movie, Harry Potter.
It's more like culture thing from their language characters and how it sound in Japanese.
The name of Owl in Japanese could also mean good fortune, luck and happiness.

There it goes like this so you could imagine I couldn't be the only willing visitor, and there are more visitors from other cities in Japan come all the way to Tokyo for seeing these cutie beauties.

As the result, I didn't get the chance to get in and to experience what it really looks like when you have coffee and snack with owls around.  Somehow, it's mercy that I was the last one in the group for picture session for the owls (500 yen/per) and to make the best of it, my friend even asked the man to bring me the Barn Owl for having the picture with me.

HOWEVER, the owls are just the animal for bringing the shop business, right?
I know this is sad.  I wouldn't say I am fully agree the idea of it.  I was actually under an awkward feeling of a dilemma as a semi-ethic.

Barn Owl- Eringi Chan

Another owl looks cute and handsome in between.  Ming found him at door and ask a picture of him.

The followings would be my personal points of view.
I know the true independent personality and wild characters of owls.
They could not be in a real happiness environment like this.
Somehow, the shop doesn't open as late as other cafe or restaurant even compare to a zoo, the time of opening is quite short.  Let's just hope the owners would take very special care to this very special animals.

STILL!  I disagree the idea of "Purchasing" owls.
